"A new civilization is emerging in our lives, and blind men everywhere are trying to suppress it." -Alvin Toffler

The Indigenous Way -> United Native America -> United Native America

United Native America

The vision of United Native America (UNA) is that of thousands of indigenous communities and tribes interconnected, interdependent and networked together forming nations and creating a sustainable and sovereign civilization based upon the Indigenous Way. Over 66% of the population of Turtle Island (North, South and Central America) are indigenous people from Turtle Island. We have been forced into the destructive economic, social and spiritual systems brought from Europe. White people from Europe make up 20% of the population of Turtle Island and yet we, the Indigenous people of Turtle Island, are considered the minority in our homeland and Europeans are considered the majority and dominate culture.

The goal of UNA is to:

-Re-discover our power within our own homeland of Turtle Island.

-To begin building tribal economies & forming a continent wide tribal economic system.

-To re-established our tribal social systems.

-To bring together the thousands of tribal communities on Turtle Island into one United Native America.

Why is this not only possible now but highly probable. Because of the liberty and social changes enabled by information technology to allow people to organized and create wealth outside of the hierarchy.

UNA is a Network or web of indigenous tribes, communities and organizations of indigenous peoples of Turtle Island who recognize and affirm one another as indigenous peoples of the Americas. The intent is to begin with indigenous tribes and communities recognizing one another and forming relationships with one another that lead to wealth creation partnerships with one another and ending with a network of sovereign indigenous nations on Turtle Island.

Declaring our sovereignty will take time and strategic planning. In order for us to survive we must declare our sovereignty one step at a time until full liberty is achieved. This includes mental, spiritual, financial, social, legal, sovereignty. We, the Indigenous people of Turtle Island, have been captive within the authoritarian system, brought from Europe for 500 years. One cannot just wake up one day and jump completely out of the slave system he or she is in. Modern systems are intertwined in all aspects of our lives and thinking. Recognition of one another is the first step.

Currently the United States and State Governments recognizes tribes. These are the people who invaded our lands. They have no motivation to recognize any more than a token of indigenous people because recognition of our people threatens their vision of manifest destiny. Hence we must have our own internal recognition process. On a larger scale the authoritarian and Industrial world must steal and take and take and take from the Indigenous world in order to continue its own survival. It will and can never fully recognize the indigenous world and those who expect it to are either naive of the different between the indigenous world and the authoritarian world or have cooped into the authoritarian system.

The intent of UNA is self-determination and self-definition. We are creating a web of thousands of recognized and affirmed indigenous people so that we define who we are, as opposed to this being externally forced upon us by the people who invaded our land, enslaved us, infected us and attempted to destroy our culture.

Having our own system of recognition is a first step to re-empowering the indigenous people of the world and Turtle Island. Currently we are reliant upon the governments of the colonizing to tell us who is Indian and who is not. Which is akin to the Jews asking Hitler to tell them who is Jewish and who is not. It is the fox guarding the hen house.

A website will be designed and created which is the system that will be used for our people to recognize one another: UnitedNativeAmerica.Net

Why is this necessary? There are 600 million Native Americans in America. We make up 66% of the population of American. But the manifest destiny propaganda of the colonizing government, has most people believing that we make up less than 1% of the population of American. The wise use of information technology with websites such as UnitedNativeAmerican.net, UNA.net, UNAtierra.net and IndigenousWay.net, Mexica-Movement.org will correct this false propaganda and re-awaken the people of the world to the truth.

How it works:

• As an indigenous individual, tribe, portion of a tribe, community, family, or organization you can recognize a tribe, portion of a tribe, Community, Family, or Organization as indigenous people to the Turtle Island based upon your own personal knowledge of this group. Turtle Island is defined as all land from the tip of South America to Alaska and all surrounding islands.
• If a tribe, community, family, or organization extends an offer of recognition and affirmation to another indigenous tribe, community, family, or organization you have two options :
o You can ask for the group to recognize you in return and if they do not do so in 30 days your offer of recognition and affirmation can be retracted.
o You can make the offer of recognition and affirmation free of any conditions.
• Non-indigenous organizations, families and individuals may also recognize and affirm an indigenous tribe, community, family, or organization.
• When your indigenous tribe or community recognizes and affirms another tribe or community as indigenous to the Americas, a rating is automatically given to the tribe based upon:
o How many indigenous members are in your tribe, community, family, or organization.
o How many other tribes, communities, families, or organizations and non-indigenous individuals and organizations have recognized your organization.

Criteria for recognition

 Members of the tribe, community, family, or organization who are offering recognition and affirmation must have person knowledge and a personal relationship with that tribe, community, family, or organization whom they are offering recognition and affirmation.
