We are reaching the end of the Industrial Age and at the beginning of the Information Age as defined by Alvin Toffler in his books The Third Wave, PowerShift and Creating a New Civilization and Barry Carter in his book Infinite Wealth. The Industrial Age has lasted 300 to 400 years. We are also at the end of the Authoritarian Age. The Authoritarian Age has last up to 5,000 to 6,000 years in parts of the world, such as Europe, and 500 years in the Americas. The Authoritarian Age has been a highly destructive era in human history. Much of what we see as progress and civilized and modern are actually steps backwards if we desire a world of abundance, peace, discovery and happiness.

Humanity for tens of thousands of years have been on a spiritual journey via the Indigenous Way. It has been a journey of understanding how we are all one and all interconnected to and all interdependent with everyone and everything else in existence. The Authoritarian Age has taken humanity off course onto a tangent of fragmentation where we are exploring the notion that we are separate and that the world and universe can be understood by looking at the individual pieces. This is called analysis and is the foundation of our modern world and all that we see as accomplishments and progress.

The Indigenous Way says that hell is the belief that we are separate from god and one another. Heaven is the knowing that we are one with god, one another, all of the universe and beyond--we are all one undivided whole. Thus analysis is hell and has created a hell for humanity today in our modern world as we are on the verge of self-destruction. Analysis, fragmentation, separation and categorization has encouraged us to compete with one another, Mother Earth, Nature and the plants and animals. It has encouraged, conquering, adversarialism, fighting, selfishness and greed. In the Industrial Age analysis has evolved into bureaucracy and a mechanistic and dead world lacking in reverence and caring.

With the introduction of the Information Age we are witnessing a global shift and transformation back to the Indigenous Way and a new world view based upon the Indigenous Way. We are witnessing the creation of a new civilization. This civilization will replace the Industrial and Authoritarian System. Bureaucracy is the primary organizing system of our Industrial Age. The new civilization will replace bureaucracy and authoritarian hierarchy with community. Community lies at the heart of the new civilization and the core organizing system for humanity.

Humans have lived in extended family tribal communities in harmony with Mother Earth and in the Indigenous Way for the vast majority of human history. Our modern history books have not told us the truth regarding our tribal existence and the Indigenous Way. Tribal people have been falsely painted as savages, cannibals, heathens, warriors, living in poverty. This is the exact opposite of the truth. The Indigenous Way is about love, peace, abundance, spirituality. However, it has been in the best interest of the people in control promoting the Authoritarian System to paint the Indigenous Way in a bad and horrible light. Thus in the past few thousand years humans have gotten off the path and been enticed by the false promise of selfishness, separation and fear--a false god. Virtually all spiritual teaching speak of humanity being enticed by false promises and false gods. The movement off of the Indigenous Way path started in Europe and has now infected the entire world.

So today as we prepare to return to the Indigenous Way we need to re-learn or remember what it is and the true human nature of love.
